The final evaluation of the 2020 GIDA was carried out at Xiongan by an expert panel composed of 9 experts from 6 countries including China, United States, Germany, Japan, UK, Finland. The entries were selected through "online + offline" evaluation and awards were granted to 40 design works.

The exhibition of the Goldreed Industrial Design Award officially opened in Hebei Industrial Design Innovation Center. The exhibition brings together design works from more than 20 countries and regions around the world. A total of 434 excellent design works of the Goldreed Award are on display. All the design works in this exhibition are shortlisted for the Goldreed Award and bring together outstanding design works from more than 20 countries and regions around the world. It covers eight categories: industrial equipment, transportation, home life, cultural creativity, sports and health, public facilities, information processing and communication design.

The review of the Goldreed Industrial Design Award is carried out from August 15 to 16. During the two-day review work, 24 judges from five countries and regions around the world are divided into 8 groups to judge the entries. In the end, a total of 40 excellent design works were promoted to the final review, and 107 works won the nomination award.

The collection of works for the 2020 Goldreed Industrial Design Award has ended. A total of 8,393 design works have been collected from 54 countries and regions around the world, including the United States, Germany, Italy, Finland, the Netherlands, and China. Among them, 531 were in transportation, 1,005 in industrial equipment, 288 in information processing, 3,461 in home life, 682 in sports and health, 726 in public facilities, 1235 in cultural and creative, and 465 in communication and design.

In order to further explore the historical and cultural heritage of Xiongan, gather more outstanding cultural and creative resources of Xiongan, and help the design and innovation of Xiongan New Area, the second Hebei Xiongan Cultural Innovation and Tourism Commodity Creative Design Competition with the theme of “Gifts of Xiongan inspire Hebei” is officially launched. It is hosted by the Public Service Bureau of Xiongan Management Committee and the Reform and Development Bureau of Xiongan Management Committee, and organized by the Xiongan Future Industrial Design Institute. The 9th Xiongan Youth Design Practice Camp was held in the XIDI. The first GIDA Future Design Salon, hosted by the Xiongan Future Industrial Design Institute, was successfully held in an online live broadcast. More than 400 domestic and international design works were exhibited at the opening of the 2021 GIDA, including "NEOLIX X3" the world’s first commercial autonomous vehicle, "NS100 Orthopedic Robotic Surgery Platform" an intelligent empowerment tool for Orthopedic surgeries, "NeuViz Epoch", China's first ultra-high-end 512-slice panoramic multi-mode CT scanner, "Marathon Runner" designed for the speed-breaking needs of middle- and long-distance marathon runners and "First Aid Inflatable Stretcher" that integrates various medical equipment required for emergency rescue procedures. These works have interpreted the unique charm of creativity and design from the three dimensions of production, life and ecology.

The official logo of China Xiongan Group designed by Xiongan Future Industrial Design Institute made its first appearance. The logo is based on the theme of “talent-oriented, four irons and four hearts, sharing beauty, fly with the wings spread”. The main body is an eye-catching arrow head like an upside down letter "Y" which means human, implying that the Group follows the people-focused philosophy to gather talents for the mission of building Xiongan together. There are four curves on either side, implying that the Group will unite as one man to accomplish the mission of building the future city together under the iron will. The logo resembles the Chinese character "美" (beautiful) with the meaning that the Group and the Xiongan people will work hard to achieve the goal of building Xiongan into a beautiful city. It is also like a phoenix taking off or an eagle spreading its wings, with the letters "X" and "A" hidden in it, to mean the group will make great achievement in building the future city of Xiongan.

The re-evaluation of the entries for the 2021 GIDA was held at Xiongan. The expert panel was composed of 24 experts from 8 countries including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, and Canada. The evaluation was done "online + offline" with 122 works selected for the Nomination Award and 43 for the final round of evaluation.

The call for entries for the 2nd Golden Reed Industrial Design Award has concluded. A total of 6,464 works from 53 countries and regions were collected. More than 10 series of activities were held, with over 30,000 participants and more than 160,000 related reports.

On the occasion of the International Children’s Day, a children care event themed "Hearts to the Party · Draw Xiongan Together" was launched at the Xiongan Future Industrial Design Institute. About 31 children from the three counties of Xiongan were invited to the Xiongan Citizen Service Center and the Institute to learn about the future planning of Xiongan New Area, carry out design practice camp activities, participate in design DIYs, and interact in ice-breaking games. "The 119 World Designer's Day Global Poster Exhibition · Xiong'an Station" kicked off at the Design Exhibition Hall of the Future Industrial Design Research Institute in Xiong'an New Area. This exhibition is jointly initiated by +86 Design Sharing Platform, Beijing Guanghua Design Foundation, CDS Designer Salon and the Future Industrial Design Research Institute of Xiong'an New Area, and will run for one month.

The Xiongan Future Industrial Design Institute has set up a joint program of Traditional Culture and Creative Design together with the Department of Industrial Design, School of Architecture and Art Design, Hebei University of Technology. More than 50 teachers and students came to the Xiongan New Area to conduct research of the New Area, the black pottery industry, and the reed industry, in which they had the opportunity to practice, gain experience and receive rewards.

The review of the Goldreed Industrial Design Award is carried out from October 29-30. During the two-day review work, 24 judges from 8 countries and regions around the world are divided into 8 groups to judge the entries. In the end, a total of 43 excellent design works were promoted to the final review, and 105 works won the nomination award.

The founding meeting of Yuerong Volunteers Association of Xiongan New Area took place at Xiongan Citizen Service Center, and XIDI attended the meeting as a council member of the association.

Shang Tiequan, member of Publicity Department of Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the CPC, and the delegation, 9 people in total, visited XIDI, and had a detailed understanding of the operation mode of the institute and the schedule and rules the Goldreed Industrial Design Award.

The collection of works for the third Goldreed Industrial Design Award has ended, with a total of 6769 works collected from 55 countries and regions. A series of more than 10 events were held, with over 180000 participants and over 260000 related reports.

June 1 International Children's Day caring activity – Bear the Party in young mind, Build Dreams in Xiongan – was co-hosted by Public Service Bureau of Xiongan New Area, Xiongan Branch of Hebei Provincial People's Procuratorate and XIDI at Ronghe Yuerrong Primary School. The 4th Goldreed Industrial Design Award ended with the collection of 6,596 entries from 56 countries and regions, more than 10 series of activities were held, with more than 200,000 participants and more than 230,000 related reports.

Xiongan New Area traditional industry transformation and upgrading conference was held in Xiongan New Area Rongcheng County Shell Rongchuang Incubation Center and Xiongan Future Industrial Design Institute. The training sessions consisted of two parts: "Creating Hot Selling Products" and "Symposium", which provided training courses for enterprises and organized them to identify problems and propose solutions.

The Goldreed Industrial Design Award Presentation - Chengdu Station and the 22nd GIDA Future Design Salon were held at Xu Liaoyuan Museum of Modern Design and Art in Chengdu. It aims to further convey the value concept of Golden Reed Award in the form of award briefing, salon, traveling exhibition, design night and other activities, encourage design organizations and enterprises to participate in the award extensively, and gather more design power for the construction and development of Xiongan New Area.

In April 2023, the Reform and Development Bureau of Xiongan New Area, the Department of Party and Public Affairs of Xiongan New Area, and the Future Industrial Design Research Institute of Xiongan New Area went to Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Jiaotong University, University of Science and Technology of Beijing, and Beijing Forestry University, and organized the "Xiongan New Area Policy Seminar and the Explanation Meeting of the Goldreed Industrial Design Award". The purpose of the event was to introduce the planning and construction of Xiongan New Area, the development of industrial design and the policy of talent introduction, and to synchronize the explanation of Goldreed Industrial Design Award so as to further gather innovative talents to participate in the construction of the new area, and to promote Xiongan to become a hot spot for talented people to start their business and make their dreams come true.

The "Future Design Double Hundred" Xiong'an Tour event was successfully held. This event is hosted by the Xiong'an Future Industrial Design Institute , aiming to further enhance the understanding of Xiong'an New Area by the award-winning enterprises of the Goldreed Industrial Design Award, carry out docking and communication with local relevant enterprises and units, promote more designers to enter Xiong'an, choose Xiong'an, and root in Xiong'an, build a bridge between design innovation enterprises and the new area, and further promote Xiong'an New Area to become an important source and gathering place for independent innovation and original innovation.

The Goldreed Industrial Design Award Dingzhou Tour Exhibition will be held at the Dingzhou Sub venue of the 2024 Dingzhou Industrial Design Week and the 2024 Hebei International Industrial Design Week. The exhibition mainly showcased award-winning works such as FireFly multifunctional modular fixed wing unmanned aerial vehicle and Xiaofei No. 8 robot.

The purpose of this event is to provide a platform for Hebei industrial clusters and design institutions to connect with investment and financing institutions, accelerate the transformation and implementation of innovative achievements, and inject new vitality into the economic development of Xiong'an New Area and even Hebei Province.

The New Consumer Creative Design Roundtable was successfully held at the Xiong'an Green Building Exhibition Center. The 2024 Hebei International Industrial Design Week International Design New Product Launch Event was successfully held at the Xiong'an Green Building Exhibition Center. The 2024 Hebei International Industrial Design Week event - Xiong'an Design Innovation Hub was held at the Xiong'an Green Building Exhibition Center. The Xiong'an Design Innovation Exchange event will focus on three major themes: "New Chapter in Airspace · Design Navigation", "Intelligent Manufacturing Transformation · Design Leadership", and "Intelligent Design · Touch the Future", with in-depth discussions, keynote speeches, and roundtable dialogues.

Beijing Tianjin Hebei, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan design partners have successfully gathered at the Xiong'an Green Building Exhibition Center. This exchange event is a series of dialogue activities between Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei under the context of the linkage between Hebei International Industrial Design Week, Beijing International Design Week, and Tianjin International Design Week. Song Xiangdang, member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Hebei Province, attended the event and delivered a speech.

The "Korean Design Day" event of Hebei International Industrial Design Week was successfully held at the Xiong'an Green Building Exhibition Center. The theme of this event is "Cross border Integration: New Perspectives on Chinese and Korean Design", focusing on cutting-edge design concepts and experiences in promoting enterprise transformation and development through design in South Korea. A keynote speech and roundtable dialogue will be held. Cui Jilie, Director of the China Office of the Korea Design Promotion Institute, and Ding Xiaolong, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Xiong'an New Area, attended the event and delivered speeches.

The Beijing Tianjin Hebei Industry Matchmaking Conference, hosted by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Hebei Province and the Management Committee of Xiong'an New Area in Hebei Province, and jointly organized by Hebei Industrial Design Innovation Center, Beijing Industrial Design Promotion Association, and Tianjin Creative Industry Association, was successfully held at the Xiong'an Green Building Exhibition Center. The event will be held in the form of themed sessions, focusing on the four major fields of "medical, fashion, safety emergency, and food", and accurately connecting with market demand and industry frontiers.

The launching ceremony of the 2024 Hebei International Industrial Design Week was held at the Xiong'an Green Building Exhibition Center. The President elect of the World Design Organization, Parina Viyas, the United Nations Ambassador for Peace and Executive Chairman of the World Green Design Organization Korea Branch, Lee Young cheol, member of the Party Group and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Dan Zhongde, and Vice Governor of Hebei Province, Zhao Dachun, delivered speeches respectively. Wu Bo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Executive Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Hebei Xiong'an New Area, and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Xiong'an Group Co., Ltd., presided over the launching ceremony.

The Hebei International Industrial Design Innovation Achievement Exhibition is held at the Xiong'an New Area Green Building Exhibition Center. Zhang Guohua, member of the Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Xiong'an New Area, went to Xiong'an Green Building Exhibition Center to investigate and inspect the preparation of the 2024 Hebei International Industrial Design Week. The final evaluation of the 5th Goldreed Industrial Design Award will be held at the Xiong'an Green Building Exhibition Center. Nine judges from both domestic and international sources conducted a final evaluation of 64 shortlisted works, and under the full supervision of notaries at the notary office, the final list of winners was selected.

This event successfully linked the "Global Footwear and Accessories Network Platform" of Swiss company WEEV with the Youth Footwear and Clothing Development Center of Anxin County, China, aiming to seek cooperation opportunities for both parties. WEEV company is headquartered in Switzerland and its business covers the global fashion market, providing an important opportunity for santai footwear industry to go international.

The 5th Goldreed Industrial Design Award Exhibition opened at the Xiong'an Green Building Exhibition Center, showcasing more than 500 excellent design works from home and abroad.

The Goldreed Industrial Design Award Presentation Ceremony Zhengzhou Station and the 23rd GIDA Future Design Salon were held in Zhengzhou, Henan. The event aims to further convey the value concept of the Goldreed Award through award presentations, design salons, and other forms, stimulate the innovation vitality of design institutions, enterprises, and universities in Henan Province, encourage more innovative solutions to participate in the award, and gather more design forces to promote high-quality development.

The "Childlike Design · Children's Creative Future" design solicitation competition, hosted by the Xiong'an New Area Propaganda Network Information Bureau, Xiong'an New Area Party and Mass Work Department, and Xiong'an New Area Women's Work Committee, and organized by the Xiong'an New Area Future Industrial Design and Research Institute, has been successfully completed. After on-site discussion by the evaluation experts, 18 works stood out and a total of 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes, and 9 third prizes were selected.

The School of Architecture and Art Design at Hebei University of Technology conducted a practical course on "Product Culture and Creative Design Investigation" in Xiong'an New Area, delving into this vibrant future city and visiting the Xiong'an New Area Future Industrial Design Research Institute for investigation and research.

The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Synergistic Development Ten-Year Achievement Exhibition and Exchange Meeting was held in Beijing. Under the theme of "Concentration, Together to the Future", the conference demonstrated the achievements made by the departments of the three places in cooperating and guiding social organizations to participate in poverty alleviation, assisting scientific and technological innovation, empowering industrial upgrading, carrying out industrial standardization, serving Xiongan New Area, improving public services, etc., and systematically summed up the experiences of the three places in serving the major national strategies, so as to draw new blueprints together.

The Goldreed Industrial Design Award Promotion Conference and Xiongxian Industry Matchmaking Conference were held at the Xiong'an Green Building Exhibition Center. This event focuses on industrial design and integration, bringing together representatives from the government, industry, and design sectors to explore how design innovation can empower the upgrading of Hebei's characteristic industries.

Teachers and students from the School of Sculpture and Public Art at Hebei Academy of Fine Arts visited the Xiong'an Future Industrial Design Institute (XIDI) for research and exchange, and signed a school enterprise cooperation agreement. This survey has pressed the start button for future "art+design" school enterprise cooperation. In the future, both parties will continue to gather global creative resources and create an experimental field for art+design innovation.
